Group Accounts Manager

Our client is one of the leaders in the oil and gas industry and currently searching for a Group Accounts Manager.

The Role:

To assist and support the CFO in achieving profit and cash commitments, and to ensure that the financial statements and management reports are produced on time and according to the quality standard set by management.

Responsibilities:

- To manage cash targets, profit and financial reporting on monthly, quarterly, yearly basis in an accurate and complete manner.

- To manage the statutory reporting of all entity in compliance with the various countries GAAP, IFRS, and tax rules by liaising with the CFO and Finance team.

- To develop a Finance manual and Accounting policy together with the CFO and Finance team.

- To manage, supervise and develop the Accounting department and ensure that they are performing the day to day tasks and that there are backup in place for every position/task.

- To perform consolidation of accounts, budget, forecast and ensure that routines at the Accounting department is efficient and streamlined.

- To ensure that all inter-company balances are reconciled and that a monthly variance analysis report are prepared with narratives.

- To manage Appraisal interview and succession planning for the Accounting department.

- To manage and assist in compliance with the CFO and Finance team the preparation, training and implementation of new accounting /ERP system, and that the Company Standing Orders are followed in accordance with the Top Management and Board requirements.

- To manage and assist in compliance with the CFO and Finance team that accounting issues raised by the Auditors or External Authorities are satisfactorily resolved.

- To assist in establishing and developing Management Information System (Balanced Scorecard-Key Performance Indicators); year end-closing progress; and submission of tax, statistics and other official forms.

- To participate in various ad-hoc projects.

Requirements:

- Degree in Accountancy / ACCA / Banking and Finance.

- 5 years of relevant experience, with managerial exposure.

- Full set of accounts, GAAP knowledge and consolidation experience.

- Proficient in Microsoft office application.

- Excellent leadership, analytical and problem solving skills.

- Able to multi-task and meet deadlines.
