Sales Manager, Air Freight, Singapore
Our client is a listed European MNC. They provide businesses and consumers worldwide with an extensive range of services for their mail and express delivery needs.
The Role
The candidate is responsible for winning new Time Sensitive Airfreight (TSA) business. This growth will be achieved through strategic sales planning and development, through the management and development of customers in a specific route and through working with the various Sales Channels.
Responsibilities:

New customer/business acquisition against target
-
Profit development against target for TSA
-
Strategic planning and development for the TSA routes

Cascades the route business plan to all sales Channels and management
-
Reviews the TSA route business plan on a regular basis
Requirements:
-
Degree holder with formal sales training preferred
-
Minimum 5 years in freight sales, of which 2 years of experience in a freight forwarding environment
-
3 – 5 years of account management experience is preferred
-
Proven track record of achieving sales targets

Awareness of supply chain structures, developments and requirements
-
Knowledge of specific characteristics for a specific trade lane including strategic sales plans for the route

Understanding of customs processes and regulations
-
Good communication and written skills
