Senior Brand Manager, Singapore
Our Client
Listed on the Singapore stock exchange, our client is a key player in the beverage industry. Currently, they are looking for a Senior Brand Manager to join one of their business units.
The Role
The successful candidate will develop, implement and manage cohesive and single-minded commercial platforms or activities to bring in volumes for 2 key channels. These activities range from tactical promotions to national brand promotions, including sports sponsorship.
Responsibilities:
- Direct and execute marketing, advertising and commercial campaigns, both short and long range, to ensure the achievement of volume targets.
- Develop and oversee the smooth implementation of key sports platforms into relevant channels including PR.
- Advise/confer with agencies in the execution for one or more consumer promotion vehicles through the line executions including but not limited to advertising creative, website, packaging, promotions, etc.
- Maintain close collaboration and relationships with both internal channels/departments and external partners/agencies to ensure effective implementation of commercial and sports projects.
- Ensure and maintain high standards in contract negotiations and documentation.
- Guide and mentor reporting team members with a clear view to succession planning.
- Report data and conduct analysis necessary to evaluate effectiveness of marketing/commercial/project initiatives, and movement activity/penetration.
- Plan and manage all sponsorship and promotion budgets, expenses, sponsorships, etc.
- Perform other administrative supervisory functions including monitoring and evaluating staff performance, establishing work priorities, interviewing, and provide for staff training.
Requirements:
- Degree in Marketing, Business or a related field.
- At least 6 years experience in marketing and brand management with exposure to all elements in the marketing mix.
- Proven experience in applying high-level analysis to accurately assess and execute business situations.
- Previous exposure to events management and mass communication required. Preferable to have been involved in sports activation and sponsorships.
- Strong knowledge of Marketing fundamentals, i.e. targeting, segmenting, and the 5Ps.
- Ability to identify or determine key priorities and brand needs.
- Knowledge and appreciation of current and emerging industry requirements and practices in area of expertise.
- Understanding of the company’s business strategies, competitive environment and industry trends to proactively anticipate business needs and develop appropriate objectives and strategies.
- High drive, energy, leadership and focus to sufficiently energize the internal and external resources of the company to execute to the agreed objectives on assigned brand.
- Flexible on working hours; including nights, weekends and holidays when needed.
