Market Analyst

Our client is a local player in the Energy Industry. They are now looking for a Market Analyst to join their team.

The Market Analyst reports to the Vice President, Market Operations (Pricing and Information).

Responsibilities:

  • Performing analysis of market outcomes, provision of market performance reporting, development and maintenance of in-house market analysis tools, involving in market evolution process, market enhancements scoping and testing and also provision of training to market players and interested parties.
  • Ensure efficient and reliable market clearing operations in following areas:
  • Pricing Analysis
  • -          Market Information Dissemination
  • -          Market Clearing Training
  • -          Market Evolution

Requirements:

  • Post graduates (going for Masters) with Operations Research or Electrical Engineering (specializing in power engineering)
  • 1-3 years experience in power system or market system
  • Strong analytical skills and good simulation modeling skills
  • Highly competent in IT skills set and experienced in programming & SQL
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with good writing and presentation skills
