Promotions Executive
Listed on the Singapore stock exchange, our client is a key player in the beverage industry. Currently, they are looking for a Promotions Executive to join one of their business units.
The Role
The Promotions Executive is responsible for developing and maintaining a viable pool of Promotion Agents consisting of the following: needs assessment, recruitment, interviewing, orientation, training, recognition and record keeping. This person will also ensure strategic deployment of Agents within budget, and overall improvement of Promotions Agents’ productivity level.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain adequate manpower and a labor schedule that adequately covers staffing needs to ensure maximum customer (internal and external) satisfaction, while remaining within budget; coordinate activities with sales teams and strive for smooth operations between the teams.
- Provide ongoing support, encouragement and two-way communication with Promotion Agents.
- Provide a voice to the expectations and perspectives of the Promotion Agents during planning, management meetings, and throughout the organization and serve as liaison for Promotion Agents, staff and administration.
- Review the work of Promotion Agents; advise/confer with Coordinators in the handling of complaints by outlets and/or grievances by agents and determination of appropriate disciplinary actions.
- Assist in training programs ensuring current and new Agents are fully trained in all rules, procedures, product knowledge, and customer service.
- Work with brand teams to ensure Agents are informed of sales promotional activities and its mechanics/logistical matters.
- Authorize and ensure validity of Agents’ claims and other payouts.
- Prepare and monitor budgets; collect and analyze data, e.g. sales in support of effective forecasting of expenditures; develop justifications for budgetary recommendations.
- Maintain an accurate and complete record keeping and document management system in a systematic manner to insure confidentiality and efficient retrieval of information.
- Perform other administrative supervisory functions including monitoring and evaluating staff performance, establishing work priorities, interviewing, hiring and provide for the training and development of staff.
- Required to work varied hours/days including nights
- Required to spend a significant amount of time in the field both with Promotion Agents/Brand Ambassadors and co-traveling with Promotion Coordinators.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Business Administration or a Degree in any discipline. Knowledge of local dialects in addition to English and Mandarin is preferred.
- At least 2 years customer-contact experience in a sales-related field, preferably in the FMCG industry. Supervisory experience required.
- Possession of valid driving license
