SAFETY & QUALITY SUPERINTENDENT

Our client is currently in need of  a Safety & Quality Superintendent to join their team. Their core business activities include commercial and technical management, agency services and training qualified specialists in sea transport and gas-and-oil producing industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Preparation, review and control of management system documentation.
• Carry out the duties of Company Security Officer, when necessary, as required by the ISPS code.
• Conduct internal audits onboard vessels, in management office departments, and affiliate companies as necessary.
• Produce appropriate reports from audits carried out.
• Analysis of internal/external audit reports.
• Analysis of and responses to Oil Major Inspections and Port State Control observations/deficiencies.
• Conduct pre inspections onboard vessels to meet the Oil Major Requirements.
• Prepare and respond to Oil Major Enquiries.
• Assisting with any departmental duties/responsibilities.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Masters License preferably with at least 3 to 5 years tankers experience.
• Knowledge of International Regulations - SOLAS, MARPOL, ISPS, ISO14001 etc.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Team player with good written and communication skills in English.
• Person with initiative, who is willing to learn.
